DIGI-TECH PHARMA & AI 2023 Insights
At this year's DIGI-TECH PHARMA event, our team had the honor of being one of the featured speakers. In our session, Leif, our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), took the stage to guide the audience through a new and technological approach to Line Clearance procedures. In our session, we explored advanced approach that leverages the power of Spatial AI, Computer Vision, Synthetic Data, and Augmented Reality to enhance the quality of cleaning processes and documentation in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Leif delivered an engaging presentation that sheds light on this transformative concept.
Line Clearance Procedure and Reconciliation in GMP
We began by emphasizing the critical importance of adhering to regulatory standards, such as the US FDA CFR 211, in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Our presentation underscored the need for written procedures that ensure the correct use of labels, labeling, and packaging materials to prevent mix-ups and cross-contamination. These procedures were described as incorporating features such as spatial separation from operations involving other drug products. International GMPs were also discussed, with a focus on minimizing the risk of cross-contamination and the importance of a clean and product-free work environment.
Line Clearance "Usual Practical Approach"
To provide attendees with a tangible understanding of typical line clearance procedures, we included an illustrative image depicting the practical aspects of the process.
Potential for Optimization
We explored the potential for optimization within pharmaceutical manufacturing, using assumptions such as the number of batch releases per day and downtime between batches. The presentation demonstrated how streamlining the line clearance process could lead to significant time and cost savings.
Intelligent Factory Line Clearance
Our presentation ventured into a forward-looking perspective on "Intelligent Factory Line Clearance." We outlined the key requirements for such an advanced system, including real-time operator guidance and documentation, high accuracy, 24/7 operational capability (MLOps), the ability to detect unfamiliar objects, and comprehensive documentation of completion levels.
In summary, our presentation at the DIGI-TECH PHARMA event focused on the innovative use of Spatial AI, Computer Vision, Synthetic Data, and Augmented Reality in pharmaceutical manufacturing. While various topics were discussed at the event, our session offered a unique glimpse into the future of line clearance procedures and their potential to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance within the pharmaceutical industry. Leif, our CTO, delivered a compelling presentation that showcased our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
